TRAVEL INFORMATION RETRIEVAL SYSTEM USING NGRAM TECHNIQUE

Abstract

A research on Travel Information Retrieval System using N-Gram technique aims to
develop the travel information retrieval system using N-Gram and evaluate the result of
information retrieval system when a user enters the Thai language query for travel location
into the system by which query is to segment into gram through N-Gram technique. The system
is developed to use PHP language to retrieve data from the My SQL database. The result is that
the developing travel information retrieval system can enhance the performance of the
retrieval system for the Thai language to locate information in data with respect to a user
query. This result has shown that the evaluation of the system using the precision factor is at
75% and the recall factor is at 79%. It concludes that the travel information retrieval system
using N-Gram technique is effective at a good level.
